Brisbane Aquatic Centre

The Brisbane Aquatic Centre offers 4 heated pools all under the one roof. The 10 lane, 50m pool has the latest timing technology and is rated in the swimming fraternity as a “fast” pool. The centre houses Queensland’s best diving pool, as well as a 25m pool.

The Aquatic Centre’s spaciousness and design offer great versatility, from world-class swimming and diving events to synchronised swimming and water polo.

Moveable Pool Bulkhead

The Anti Wave Moveable Pool Bulkhead Specifications are:

• Fibreglass over stainless frame construction
• 24.9 metres long
• 1.5 metres wide
• 2.2 metres high
• Comprised of eight 2.5 metre wide, and two 2.45 metre wide moulded sections providing the pool with ten 2.5 metre swim lanes
• 2 specifically design motorized pallet jacks to adjust the bulkheads position
• 10 premiere Omega starting blocks
• Flow through design to enable water circulation and ease of movement
• Neutral buoyancy design to reduce impact on pool deck tiles
• Locking positions on pool deck at 25 metre, 30 metre positions
• Fully compliant with FINA specifications for international aquatic events
